The association Zauchensee aktiv is committed to making its websites www.zauchensee.com accessible in accordance with the Federal Law on Accessible Access to Websites and Mobile Applications of the Federal Government (Web Accessibility Act – WZG) BGBl. I No. 59/2019 as amended and the Federal Disability Equality Act (BGStG).

Our Commitment

Accessibility is more than a matter of course for us – it is close to our hearts. We want our website to be easily usable for all people, and we work diligently to ensure this. Our website is optimized for various output devices (smartphone, tablet, desktop computer) due to responsive web design. The content elements are automatically optimized for the best possible readability and adjusted for the respective display size. Furthermore, sufficient contrast was taken into account in the design.


Keyboard operation:
The main menu can be operated using the keyboard (Tab key, arrow keys). Interactive elements are accessible and operable via keyboard.


Structuring and Semantics

  • All pages have meaningful page titles
  • The language of the page is declared in the markup
  • The HTML markup used is standards-compliant
  • Headings are hierarchically structured
  • Links have meaningful titles

  • Alternative texts for informative images
  • Sufficient color contrasts
  • Support for screen readers

Non-accessible contents

The contents listed below are not accessible for the following reasons:

  • Incompatibility with accessibility regulations
    Texts and comprehensibility: We strive to draft our texts largely without abbreviations and foreign words and avoid convoluted sentence structures. If a text is not comprehensible, we request feedback.
    Contrast issues: Occasionally occurring contrast issues are primarily limited to: cookie banners that overlay existing content and external content from third parties
    Multimedia content:  Not all videos have subtitles or audio descriptions. 
    PDF documents: Older PDF documents may not be fully accessible.
  • Disproportionate burden
    Content from third parties: Our website partially uses content and services from third parties (e.g., online booking systems). For this content, a complete statement regarding compatibility with accessibility regulations cannot be made, as they are outside of our control.
    Legacy content: Retrofitting all existing content, especially older PDF documents and multimedia content, would pose a disproportionate burden.

Note on Accessibility

We strive to implement the accessibility of this website as best as possible within the framework of technical capabilities and legal requirements. Complete accessibility cannot be guaranteed, particularly with complex or dynamic content as well as the integration of external tools (e.g., booking systems, widgets, forms).

Enforcement Procedure

If you are not satisfied with the responses from the aforementioned contact method, you can file a complaint with the complaint office of the Austrian Research Promotion Agency with limited liability (FFG). The FFG accepts complaints electronically via the complaint office contact form.

The complaints will be examined by the FFG to determine whether they pertain to violations of the provisions of the Web Accessibility Act, particularly deficiencies in compliance with accessibility requirements, by the federal government or an agency attributable to it.

If the complaint is justified, the FFG must issue recommendations for action to the federal government or the affected stakeholders and propose measures to eliminate the existing deficiencies.

With the entry into force of the Accessibility Act (BaFG) on June 28, 2025, affected individuals may contact the Social Ministry Service as the market supervision authority in case of violations of the accessibility requirements.
